Guest Speakers

During Beyond Disabilities Week, we invited two guest speakers to discuss the topic of disabilities, inclusion, and accessibility with the wider campus during Chapel. These talks were geared toward understanding disabilities from a theological and social viewpoint. While we understand people share many different beliefs regarding God, Scripture, and religion in general; these two talks were meant to explore disabilities within this context since our goal was to explore the topic of disabilities through as many lens as possible.

Our other guest speaker Matthew Fink is a graduate student at George Washington University currently studying Public Health. He spoke from a personal perspective of living without arms or legs and discussed how the gaming community helps advance the causes of people with disabilities through e-Sports.

Please check out our two guest speakers:

2. Amos Yong: Provost of Regent College, speaker and author of several books, brother of an individual with Down Syndrome
